B. Baikie. This work is a catalogue of the wildlife of Orkney, specifically the mammalia and birds.Written by William Balfour Baikie (1825-1864), a naturalist and explorer born in the Orkney Islands. He completed a number of works regarding Orkney and Scotland.A scarce work. In a full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with a few marks to the front board, chipping to the tail of the spine, which is faded and with a few small instances of fraying. Internally, generally firmly bound; front hinge is strained but remains firm. Pages have the odd instance of spotting, but are otherwise bright and clean. Very Good
