Two-volume set in publisher's cloth slipcase, sponsored by the Texas Historical Foundation. Introductory essays, William A. Owens for Historic Texas and Stephen Harrigan for Contemporary Texas, are followed by collections of photographs by a variety of photographers. Sixteen photographers were invited by the project to contribute to the volume on Contemporary Texas, while a collection of professional and amateur photographs from snapshots to studio portraits comprise the Historic Texas volume --more than 350 in all.
