Copyright 1947, published by Editions Le Sphinx (Belgium); written in French.
No dust jacket. Stamped on the copyright page as copy #2208. Book is heavily cracked at page 16-17, with numerous other small cracks forming throughout as a result of its weight and size. Please note: if this book is kept upright without adequate support or mishandled, the binding will crack further. Includes several full-page color plates and illustrations of prominent figures of World War II, as well as a separate pamphlet titled 'photos documentaires de la Guerre Mondiale,' which is chipped and worn along the edges and hinge.
Forest green hardcovers bow outward and are worn along the edges and hinges. Faded text on the front and spine of the covers. Significantly sagging textblock from the weight of the pages. Tanning pages. Hard creases throughout volume. No writing or markings but has scratches on the covers and tanning pages. Overall, because of the cracks in the binding, this hardcover is in Acceptable/Poor condition.
