Silver lettering very bright on spine, 544 pages with illustrations throughout, most in color, published 2001. DJ glossy with a color-illustration of British officer on front, spine and back black. DJ has micronick with no wear at top front tips, light scratch on back. Near Fine DJ/Very Fine book. Volume III: "The Fate of Empire": 1776-2000. Very large, heavy book, 2002, silver lettering bright on spine, 576 pages. DJ glossy with a color photo of Houses of Parliament on front, black spine and back, praise from the New Republic and others. DJ has tiny tear at spine top edge. Near Very Fine DJ/Very Fine book.
