About This Item

London: John C. Nimmo, 1895. Cloth. Very Good Indeed. 10.5" by 7". Not Stated. A charming copy of A History of British Butterflies with beautiful hand coloured illustrations. A lovely bright copy of the eighth edition of A History of British Butterflies, newly revised, corrected and enlarged, written by Rev. F. O. Morris. Morris has written extensively on the natural history of Britain, also writing A History of British Moths, A History of British Birds and Natural History of Nests and Eggs. Illustrated with seventy-nine beautiful hand coloured plates. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original green cloth gilt binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the spine and extremities. There is a bookplate to the front free endpaper. Front hinge is starting but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages with the odd scattered spot throughout. Very Good Indeed
