First Edition/First Printing. DJ has shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities (DJ is chipped and worn). Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine and front board. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Endpapers are foxed and offset with a previous owner's name present to the FFEP. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. From earliest history, people have had to think about getting enough food, clothing, and a place to live. Once they had that, they had time to think about making things better, by creating art, inventions, learning how to live in peace. As them moved through history, people have tried many ways to do all that. Wilbur Monroe Leaf was an American author of children's literature who wrote and illustrated nearly 40 books during his 40-year career.
