n.p.: Privately Printed, 1970. First Edition. Soft cover. Near Fine. Apparent 1st printing. Medium sized pictorial wraps in plastic comb binding. 450pp. A few photo illustrations. Frontispiece portrait of "Mr. Dan Thomas 1833-1911 'Founder of Danbury'". "Property of..." written in colored pencil on title page. Index of names but without accompanying page numbers. 16 chapters plus appendix of biographies. Preliminary page folds out & is "Family of Dan Thomas." Chapters include "Indians in Northwest Iowa 1854-1880", "Coming of the Railroad", etc. The bound wrappers have clear plastic covers & the back one has a short tear (to plastic only). Near fine. Rare.
