Elephant Folio reproduction of the original from 1846. There is a statement on the title page, "This is not an exact facsimile since some material, which would be expensive to reproduce, is not of railway, artistic or historical interest." Published 1969 by Augustus M. Kelley, Publishers (New York), printed in Great Britain. 58 pages of text, followed by 32 full-page black & white illustrations/plates. There is a publisher's note glued to the rear pastedown regarding the funding of the reproduction project.
Dust jacket shows wear to include numerous old scotch tape repairs, large tears over 3-inches, wear-through that has caused a hole on the spine/hinge of the jacket, impressions and scratches, nicks and curling at the edges, swirlmarks, smudges, soiling, and heavy corner and edgewear. Hardcover shows wear such as bumped corners and edges, bumped spine head and tail, loose spine backstrip, spine lean, scratches, shelfwear, and a wavy textblock. Hard creases in the textblock. There does not appear to be any writing. Please note this is an oversized book (approximately 21" tall x 15" wide) for shipping purposes. Overall, the book is in Good condition.
