Raised bands. Dentelles. School binding. St. Edmund's seal in gilt to front cover. Marbled endpapers and paper edges.
Originally published in 1848, "The History of England from the Accession of James the Second" (1848) covers the 17-year period from 1685 to 1702, encompassing the reign of James II, the Glorious Revolution, the coregency of William III and Mary II, and up to William III's death.
Head and tail of spine rubbed, with some minor abrasion to leather. Prize bookplate on inside of front cover. Binding in overall good+, interior in very good condition.
