About This Item
Boston: Press of Emery & Hughes, 1887. First Edition . Hardcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. A Good copy of this 735-page history. Re-bound with new leather spine, raised bands, lettered in gold, over dark gray cloth, retaining the gold crossed saber decoration from the original cover as an on-lay onto the new front cover. New endpapers, all edges marbled (apparently original). Little cover wear, sound binding, no prior owner's marks. Tan damp-staining to roughly the last 100 pages, but no paper adhesion. An attractive copy of the first edition, with an internal flaw towards the rear.
