It contains 10 parts, each with 10 loosely inserted color plates and an explanatory booklet in a paper, color-illustrated cover. The periods covered are Gaul, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Louis XIII, Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Revolution, First Empire, Restoration, Second Empire. This copy is ex-library, with stamp on verso of plates and markings on spine. Portfolio is complete. Some pages show wear at edges, in generally the content is very good.
