From the author's preface: "My object has been to produce a book that would be read with interest... by people whose knowledge of German does not extend much beyond the rudiments..." Condition: Good; reading pages clean, edges crisp, binding slightly shaken, mild age toning. Limited edge wear to cover, spine ends soft, cover has some soiling. Ex-seminary library book, with label on rear cover, bookplate inside cover, remains of removed spine label and rear check-out pocket, pencil marks on title page and endpapers..
