Edinburgh : T. & T. Clark , 1889. Leather Bound. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 629 pages, indexed. A "Prize Binding" in full polished calf leather and gilt tooled spine. Gilt insignia on front cover is the seal of the University of Glasgow, reading "Via Veritas Vita." There is moderate wear to the binding, which shows some spots of discoloration and slightly bumped edges. The hinges are secure. All edges marble. Marbled end papers. A school presentation bookplate dated 1897 is affixed to the front pastedown. A sturdy and fairly attractive copy. The text is clean and sound.
