About This Item
New York: Macmillan. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1899. Hardcover. Frank Bigelow Tarbell (1853 - 1920) was a professor of archaeology at the University of Chicago. First published in 1896, this book contains 196 b&w illustrations that accompany the text. A Macmillan publisher's ad is loosely laid in for book on Egyptian Archaeology also published in 1899. There is a bit of scuffing to the rear cover and a tanned area to the front inner end paper where a newspaper clipping was probably loosely laid in at one time, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 295 pages .
