John C. Winston Co., 1930. Cloth. Fair. Price, Harriet Longstreet. Introduction by Elizabeth Lodor Merchant, story attributed to Goldsmith. Slightly smaller, thinner book, dark blue cloth with embossed illustration of girl in orange, blue and black and several birds on front, blue illustration of girl with children and with geese inside covers and adjacent end papers, girls' hats and geese outlined neatly in blue ink, small brown stain at top front right of first front end paper, inside back cover and adjacent end paper illustrations, girls' dresses colored with orange crayon, slight surface wear from price tag inside back cover on right with pencil scribble line, 96 lightly browned pages, orange crayon writing and pencil name on final blank end paper, gilt star placed at tops of pages 17, 19, 47, 50, 58, 78, 83 and color frontispiece page, a gilt circle placed at top of page 42, creased at top tip of page 11, 29 and 33. Very slight surface wear to front and top back tips, slight wear at bottom back tip, very small surface wear spot at center front, slight surface wear to spine edges, tiny nick near bottom long spine right edge, tiny threading at bottom back edge near spine. Fair.
