Book description: (3) Volume black publishers pebble grain cloth hardbound covers, gilt title stamped/embossed title on spine covers, blind stamped borders on board edges, full green marble leaf edge/end papers, illustrated text with full/half page photographic black/white images. Dimensions: 10 7/8" x 8 1/4" x 2 1/4" each volume. Book condition: Poor; Cloth is dust dulled/rubbed/moderately soiled/spotted boards, spine crown/heels/board corners frayed (exposed inner boards at extremities), end papers browned/some spotting/foxing, age toned text pages with some foxing/spotting of peripheral areas, squares spines; Vol. I/Index [1 1/2" x 3/4" section of cloth missing at center area of front spine hinge (exposes inner board/spine), detached 1st front free end paper (missing approx. lower 1/5 section of page, spine a bit shaken, missing (1) page of index at rear (last letter is "w"), lviii-end papers creased (1/2" section parallel to spine end), rear gutter severed/exposed (board folds down to expose inner spine)], Vol. II [front gutter frail (1" section attached), p. 389-end papers creased (1/2" section parallel to spine end) attached by loose binding cords (spine firm besides end mentioned), Vol. III [9" section of cloth torn at front gutter (1 3/4" section attached at top), spine shaken (loose at center area). A nice volume set.
