Maroon blind- and gilt-stamped cloth, dust-jacket; spine ends a bit worn, corner bumped throughout, jacket is very worn (a remnant) - however the jacket is also quite rare. Book is very good, in a poor jacket. Ownership rubber-stamp of Irma H. Seijo. PROVENANCE: Irma H. Seijo [Jarcho] (1918-19xx), married Dr. Saul Jarcho, graduated from Harvard's School of Public Health, was a bacteriologist and science educator. She worked in the Venereal Disease Research Unit, New York Department of Health, New York City (1938 to 1944). Seijo was among the first women students at Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Minor wear marks to boards. Unclipped jacket. Panels and spine have light edgewear with tears and creases. Moderate loss to spine and edges. Visible wear marks to spine and panels.
