NY: Harper. NEAR FINE set. Some tips bumped, all tips & spine corners rubbed. (1883). New edition.. Hardcover. NEAR FINE books. TEG. FINE inside. Green cloth with gilt spine lettering. Bkplts but no aging, fopxing, memorabilia, etc. . 10"x6.5". Vols 1 & 2 consecutivly numbered to page 609, 3 & 4 to page 666. Vol 1 has the index of ilustrations and maps for vol 1 &2. Index in vol 3 for those in vols 3 & 4. All covers very clean. All gilt top edges bright & shiny as new. Other edges show just a bit of aging. Vol 3 upper hinge paper cracked, hinge still sound, no other hinges so effected. All very tight. All tend to stay closed when stood on their spines. .
