Full calf contemporary bindings, rubbed, with some wear to extremities, front joint starting to Vol 1. Both volumes with the dedication to "Alice Grace Mosse, the gift of her father,1862" on front endpapers. Prelims slightly tide marked, clean throughout, page blocks solid. The bindings are in attractive gilt tooled leather with gilt frame and flower motifs to each corner, leather dark brown and lustrous. With one of two labels per volume on spine. Quite unusual. Nice books. Weight: 1.5 kilos when packed. Postage prices will reflect this.
