Olive silk, decorated black, printed gilt and black. Cr.8vo. pp. x, 518 (History of Samuel Titmarsh through The Book of Snobs, [2], 356 (Mrs. Perkins's Ball through Ballads). Good+/No jacket, as issued. Cap and corner wear, bumps to topedge resulting in tiny tears/chips from pp. 51-94 first page number and pp 81-104 of second page numbering (non affecting text), light toning, foxed and offset stains to title page, some illustration offset. Mock dos-o-dos and unusual collection of Thackeray's Works issued by the famous department store established in 1851 (probably for a holiday season play on words; Titmarsh vs. Jordan March) ..
