Cincinnati, OH: H. W. Derby & Co., Publishers, 1854. Hardcover. Good. Thick octavo (standard size). Original binding, chipping at head of spine. Some wear to edges and corners of boards. Ex-library. Remnant of sticker on spine, library name in a cursive hand with gift sticker on pastdown. Old library notations in ink. Circular emboss on title page. Remnant of label on rear endpaper, more library notations in ink on rear pastedown, which has also been damaged where someone has probably roughly removed a pocket. light foxing on many pages, much less so towards the center pages of the book. xii, 13-557 p. w/ appendices. The only volume published of a projected 4 volume series to cover Ohio history to 1851. Extensive coverage of Native Americans, early settlers, the French and Indian war, and the Revolutionary period. Uncommon.
