Recruitment was from railroads with connections to St. Louis. Mainly from Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. Includes the roster of men with the addresses for each recruit. Black and white photos with several crisp foldout maps. 307 pages including the Index of names with original members being in bold type..
