Half dark brown morocco and black cloth, gilt-stamped lettering in spine compartments (5 raised bands); folio (285x190mm); 2 title-pages with ornamental woodcut border, and numbered leaves (1-5, 1-25, 1-19, 1-4, 1-4, 1-9, 1-46, 1-24, 1-8, 1-9, 1-94, 1-26, 1-17, 1-39, [1] (second title-p., n.d.), 1-14, 1-12, 1-13, 1-9, 1-11, 1-15, [10] (Table)) with woodcut decorative initials, printed in blackletter. With 15 smaller, later manuscript leaves tipped-in between sections. Boards rubbed; light scuffing at spine tips, along joints and edges of boards. First title page toned and dust-soiled, and lightly chipped along the edges; second title-page is fine; text block a bit brittle along the edges; a few pages loose, laid-in. Bookplate of the New York City Bar Association.
