Toronto: Collins, 1946. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 279. FIRST CANADIAN EDITION. Bound in red cloth covered boards with title and author name in gilt on top board, and spine. The scarcer Canadian edition lacking the dust jacket. Featuring Beglian detective Hercule Poirot. A very good copy. The spine ends are bumped. The corners of the boards show light wear, and there is a short crease in the cloth at the head of the spine.
