About This Item

1868., 1868.. Very good. - Hugh Cairns, 1st Earl Cairns' signature at the bottom left of a 3 inch high by 4-1/4 inch wide clipping from an envelope. "London Official Paid" is stamped in red at top right above Miss Nicholson's address penned in an unknown hand. The autograph is mounted with glue from the verso onto a larger sheet of heavier stock clipped from an album. Very good.
