London: Routledge, Warne and Routledge, 1865. First Edition. The finest feature of this work is the 35 engravings after works by Houghton. Contemporary Morocco with gilt designs and titles. A little rubbed, but still attractive. All edges gilt. Marbled end papers. A variety of poems, author's include Jean Ingelow, Dora Greenwell, Mrs Tom Tailor, The Hon Mrs Norton, Amelia B. Edwards, Jennett Humphreys and the author of "John Halifax Gentleman". Internally in a sound state, but with moderate foxing to most of the pages. Unpaginated but 70 leaves printed to recto only. 26cm x 21cm Première édition. Les 35 gravures d'après des œuvres de Houghton constituent l'aspect le plus remarquable de cet ouvrage. Maroc contemporain avec des motifs et des titres dorés. Un peu frotté, mais toujours attrayant. Toutes les tranches sont dorées. Papiers de fin marbrés.
