Chicago: The Lakeside Press, 1966. First thus. Fine in dark blue cloth covered boards with gilt text and decorations on the spine and front board. The top edge of the text block is in gilt. The upper fore edge of the text block shows very minor spotting from foxing. The Lakeside Classic issued in 1966. The author and her husband, Dr. Gerrit Parmele Judd, first arrived in Hawaii in 1828 to serve as missionaries. Both were quite involved in life on the Islands and this narrative provides revealing information of life at that time. 375 pages including an index followed by several pages which list previous titles published in the Lakeside Classic series.
