First American Edition, W.W. Norton & Co. 1955, Acceptable condition. Red cloth covers with beige strip at the spine. No dust jacket. Binding is solid & square. Beige strip has small spots/stains. Top of spine is chipped. Corners bumped & fraying. Light purple stain inside front & rear covers. Pages creased. Two end papers at back of book have a one-inch closed tear. Small price notation in pencil on first end paper. No other marks. No names, notes, stamps or stickers. A decent reading copy. We ship within 24 hours in most cases.
