London, Collins, 1943.. FIRST EDITION 1943, 8vo, yellow cloth, black lettered, 256 pages. Illustrated by Joyce Bruce. Book very slightly leaning, endpapers very faintly foxed, small early inscription on front endpaper (see image). Very good plus clean copy in very good DUSTWRAPPER (dw: not price clipped, slightly worn at head and tail of spine and corners with tiny chips, 3 mm (1/8") chip at foot of upper hinge, 30 mm (1¼") closed tear at foot of lower hinge running across spine, no loss and expertly mended on reverse, folds slightly worn and strengthened with archival tape on reverse).
