About This Item
New York: Soho Press, 1991. ARC . Soft cover. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. This is an "Uncorrected Proof" copy - often referred to, but not quite the same as, an "Advance Reading Copy" [or ARC] - fast becoming an attractive collectible, as it precedes the First Edition. A novel about a woman who begrudges men their God-given competitive superiority when she is as good as they are at war games played in the woods with paint guns. Her husband is a high-tech competitive bass fisherman who is attempting a come back in the bass wars. 291 pages. CONDITION: a bright, tight, square, uncreased, likely unread copy with negligible shelf-wear, compromised only by a bump and a small mark in the upper left corner of the front cover (visible in the accompanying scan image). This attractive, collectible copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag.
