Santa Barbara: Black Sparrow Press, 1983. First Edition. Near Fine. Uncorrected proof of the first edition. Signed by Charles Bukowski on the title page, and initialed by Black Sparrow Press proprietor John Martin on the front cover in red pencil, who has also denoted #4/4, and one of a limited four copies as such. 222 sheets printed on rectos only, plastic bound with wraps, and large "Uncorrected Proof" rubber stamp to front wrap. Near Fine with heavy foxing to textblock edge, light creasing and wear to covers. A scarce format of this classic collection of short stories, in a rare format not noted by Krumhansl.
