About This Item
London : Herbert Jenkins Limited, 1932 A good to very good copy of the 1st edition in 2nd issue Abbey wrapper. The book is clean and sound. The binding has a faded spine with some pulling and light wear to corners. The top corner of the back board is slightly bumped and there is slight marking and some fading at the spine joint. Internally there is a tiny top edge tear at p21, the occasional light spot (generally bottom margin) and what look like some old tea spots on p 254/5. 8 pp of publisher's adverts at the rear. The wrapper is priced at 2/6 and has slight loss at the top and bottom of the spine and at the folds. There are 26 J S Fletcher titles on the front flap and 13 Wyndham Martyn titles on the rear flap. The spine panel is slightly darker and the white areas on the jacket have a few light grubby marks. The inside of the the jacket is browned at the spine and spotty.
