Hardback small octavo, no jacket, good condition, red cloth cover (gilt lettering front cover & spine faded), few black & white adverts, light blue thin card advert at front, endpapers & edges lightly foxed, pages lightly toned, spine little faded, few marks & stains covers, colour loss top section rear cover (some rubbing), some edgewear. 288 pp. From the title page: "How to use a Gas Cooking Range, Hygiene of Gas Cooking, Gas Cooking Stoves and Rangers, How to Read the Menu, Cook's Vocabulary." The many recipes show a window into early cooking with most of the dishes being english. (Original published in U.K. The scarce Australian edition. No date, but about 1905.).
