Within text there are numerous two-toned coloured line illustrations again by Iris Millington. Red coloured boards with silver titles to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing two men sitting under a gum tee, with black titles on front panel and backstrip. "This is the story of Australian literature, from the earliest days of convict settlement to modern times, told in an imaginative, refreshing style by linking the text throughout with graphic illustrations.". A book for young readers on the development of Australian literature. Slight rubbing to the book corners and the results of insect activity can be seen to the front and back panels. Dust marks to the top paper edge and previous owners name on the free front end paper. Dustwrapper faded and the corners of dustwrapper are rubbed. The results of insect activity is present on spine, front panel, back panel and back fold over edge. Staining to the dustwrapper. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. VI, 90 pages,.
