About This Item
New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1908. 1st Edition Early Printing. Hardcover. Very Good. A handbook, still popular today more than a century after its first publication in 1904, that provides its readers with the basics they need to know about oriental rugs and how to recognize and identify individual types. About 5 1/4 x 7 3/4 inches, 243 pages bound in blue cloth-covered boards with a rug-like graphic design on the front cover with details repeated on spine. Title and author in gold lettering. No dustjacket. Title page notes 20 full-page illustrations with 12 in color. Boards and text are clean, complete and unmarked. Boards show just a touch of edgewear at spine ends, no other flaws or damage. A very nice copy of an early printing of this classic work.
