About This Item
First edition hardcover with dust jacket, published by Bantam, 1991. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Blue boards over black cloth covered spine, with the author and title imprinted on the spine. The boards are flat and the corners are not bumped or creased. 223 pages, with Index, Notes, and illustrated throughout with B&W photos, line drawings and maps. Neurobiologist, William Calvin takes us on a journey to find the origins of ancient religious practices, especially focused on those that centered on knowledge of Astronomy, such as the Anasazi, and Druids. There are few dots of very very light foxing to the top edge of the text block, not very noticeable as they are barely darker than the paper itself. There is a pen smudge on the top edge as well, looks like someone dropped a pen and it make a squiggle there. The dust jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover, there is a short closed tear at the bottom right fore edge, about an inch long. No writing besides that pen mark, no former ownership marks, not a remainder, not a library discard. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.

Let us know, we'd love to hear from you! Do you want to see a photo of a book before you order it ? We try to post as many photos as possbiel, but sometimes there will be a item in inventory that does not show a photo here. So feel free to ask for photos, we don't mind at all. We package all of our orders carefully either in a box that has been designed to ship books, or in a padded envelope. We want to make sure you receive your order in the best possible condition! Our preferred shipping method is USPS Media Mail. Recently, the USPS has added tracking to Media Mail , which has been a great addition to this service. If you do choose to have your order shipped "Expedited", my shipping cost may seem higher than expected. Some of our books are large format hardcovers that can cost quite a bit when shipped expedited. So I would like to make sure that I can cover the cost upfront. However, if the actual cost of expedited shipping is less than the charge, I will refund the difference!
