About This Item
London: George Bell and Sons, 1901. Hardcover. Very Good. Hardcover. Herkomer (1849 - 1914) was a German born painter, who lived mostly in England but spent many summers in his native Bavaria. He was known for painting scenes of poor people and also the Queen on her deathbed. He was also an early film director and composer. Sadly, none of his seven films are in existence any longer.
