Volume I contains an annotated catalogue of 149 works by 17th-century Dutch masters, with literature, exhibitions, provenance, and short essays. Also includes a 34-page introductory essay, "Paintings by Dutch Masters" and an alphabetical index to the artists. Volume II contains an annotated catalogue of 355 works, including American paintings, furniture, silver and other objects of art.
