Illustrated with 9 Full-Page B&W Plates. Frontis illus. the Bellman wading ashore carrying the Banker. Buff cloth cover illustrated with the Bellman seated up on a spar in the rigging. Black Title printed on the sail. Rear cover illustrated with a Bell Buoy titles "Was a Boojum". All page edges bright Gilt. Bookseller note in lead pencil at top of half-title page. No other inscriptions. Lovely copy, protected in removable clear plastic wrapper.
Synopsis
If-and the thing is wildly possible-the charge of writing nonsense were ever brought against the author of this brief but instructive poem, it would be based, I feel convinced, on the line (in p.4)
