Philadelphia: American Sunday-School Union, 1896. First edition. Hardcover. Good. tips worn, corners worn through and bumped, some surface loss to front cover, rubbing. A scarce19th century hymnal for young people. Sunday-School World, the magazine of the American Sunday-School Union in its June, 1896 issue described the development of the hymnal thus: "Hymns were sought that children could sing. New melodies were composed. The large storehouse became so valuable that it was determined to give other primary workers a share in its treasures.The result was this new hymnal for primary classes.
