About This Item
Boston: James M. Usher, n.y.. Hardcover. 24mo. Green blind-ruled cloth with gilt spine lettering and decorations. 96pp. Frontispiece, 11 full-page engravings. Good plus. Rather edgeworn, but fairly tight and with strong hinges. Nice copy of these quirky moralistic children's pieces -- a miscellany of instructional stories, poems and tidbits -- undated as is typical (circa 1865). Quaint pencilled gift inscription notes: "Presented to Anna Miller / for good schollarship by / her Teacher Florence Robbins / Springfield Ohio / December 22nd 65.
