About This Item
Toronto: Thomas Allen Limited 1941. (4to) np. Very good in good dust jacket. Blue cloth with yellow lettering to the cover and spine. Photographs. The corners and spine are lightly worn and the dust jacket is chipped and edgeworn with a 6-inch diagonal closed tear to the front panel. "Primarily a book of photographs (and such photographs!) - it is illumined on every page by the comments on Mrs. Miller, sometimes an appropriate poem, sometimes a personal episode, sometimes a quotation from Evelyn's Diary - or Pepy's. The mood varies, and occasionally Mrs. Miller draws from her store of English memories a richly humorous reference or a curious item of old history". Locale: England. (Travel, History--England, Photograph Album, Tourism, Travel).
