No remainder mark. Pages are fresh and crisp. Traduzione di Umberto Pittola e Paola Bottalla. Beautifully illustrated by José Gamarra with a frontispiece drawing, endpaper paintings, front cover art (a paste-down, 11 cm x 9 cm), plus 11 full-color interior plates (6 of which are double page), and a index vignette. One of the paintings is most curious. It depicts Superman, wearing his red, blue, and yellow man-of-steel costume, while guiding a dugout canoe downriver!!! In the same boat are Jesus complete with glowing halo, and a devil-like character -- both under the guard of a Spanish conquistador who is pointing his blunderbuss at them.
