About This Item

Sydney: Allen & Unwin, 2014. Paperback octavo, very good condition, minor edgewear. 282 pp. Sami Shah is a well-known Pakistani journalist and comedian who migrated to Australia from big-noisy-city Karachi and to settle in sleepy country town of Northam, Western Australia (his wife was a counsellor at the asylum seeker detention centre). In this very funny autobiography he tells a very moving story of what it's like to leave the dysfunctional home you love (and its terrorist bombings) to start a new life in a very different country.
