Striking collection of 26 poems by Leib Jaffe (1876-1948) a Russian Zionist leader, writer and poet, whose literary work was devoted to the renascence of the Jewish people and to the love of Erez Israel. Age wear on binding with spine rubbed and partly missing, and abrasion along edges of covers. Binding in overall poor to fair, interior in very good condition.

Exquisite collection of 26 poems in which the author voices the lament that he had to give expression to his thoughts of Zion, of the Jewish revival, of the regeneration of Palestine, in a language other than Hebrew. Spine and edges slightly sunned. Lower front corner slightly bumped (not affecting pages). Minor age-toning along paper margin.
