Shelfware, dust jacket worn, small piece missing, spotting to page edges, contemporary owners bookplate opposite half title, contents clean. Author's account of his scientific work during the 14 months he spent on the North-East coast of Greenland, as a member of a1939-40 Swedish-Norwegian expedition. The Norwegian Greenland Expedition 1939 had 3 objectives, glaciological, biological and meteorological. from the foreword, by J.C.Irvine, of The University, St. Andrews, Scotland; "Mr. Rodahl is primarily a scientist, and he has taken his test tubes and his scientific searching mind to Greenland and the result is a fascinating account of laboratory researches, conducted under Arctic conditions, which have given valuable results in the field of dietetics."
