About This Item

London: Longmans, Green & Co, 1948. A first edition, first printing published by Longmans, Green & Co in 1948. A near fine book with slight bumping to the spine tips and corners. A little edge wear. One neat name and date is written on the front free end paper. Off setting and slight spotting to the prelims and rear paste down. In a very good + unclipped wrapper which shows loss to the top of the spine and a closed tear to the top of the rear panel. With the rare Evening Standard band which shows a closed tear on the spine also.
