About This Item

Chatto and Windus, 2004. Hardcover. Fine. Signed by the author. Full number line present in this first edition. The book is square and tight and the boards clean and bright; although where the author has pushed down the board to sign, the stitching is now visible - see picture. It is clearly unread with no marks, foxing, tears or damage. No inscriptions or writing or underlining. The DJ is not price clipped and is clean and without marks or tears. An absolutely superb copy in a protective, removable wrapper.

Synopsis

Gerard Woodward lives in Manchester. His first novel, August , was published in 2001 to great acclaim, and he has also written three award-winning collections of poetry. When he is not writing, Gerard refills the chocolate machines at Manchester University.

About Boneshaker Books

I'm an English teacher by day and a book hoarder by night, weekend and occasional holiday. I sell to provide more shelf space and some money to buy more books. Drawn to various genres - mainly 20th and 21st century first editions. Protecting the book for postage is very important to me; I use recycled packaging where possible, but always ensuring the book can cope with any possible boneshaking along the way.
