About This Item
London: Faber & Faber. Second impression of the first edition. Ex lib., the only indication being a ghost of a sticker on the rear pastedown. Blue, cloth-covered boards, sunned. A moving publication consisting of the author's letter to his very young sons, who had been sent to America at the start of the war, in which he sets out his thoughts about the war and some of his philosophy of life, no doubt prompted by the possibility that he may not survive; he died in 1943. The book also includes a selection of the author's poetry. Introduction by Christopher Hassall. . Very Good. Hardcover. 1944.
