Illustrator: Photographic & Maps. preface by author, prologue and epilogue by Iain Moncrieffe and a brief glossary. The text is illustrated with 15 black-and-white photographs and two maps. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with silver coloured titles to the back strip. Based on the author's diaries of the author, and of his time in Crete and of his involvement in the plot to capture the German Divisional Commander in Crete  General Heinrich Kreipe. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges, book corners and lower book edges. Patchy fading of the back strip and some marks to the book panels. There appears to be "a run" in the rear book panels  please see photograph. Age toning of the text block edges and pages with scattered foxing to both. Offset tanning to the end pages with previous owners name to the top edge of the free front end page and original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down.
